Hallo,

Mijn alarm werkt niet meer fatsoenlijk en dat komt waarschijnlijk omdat de backup battery leeg is. Weet iemand waar deze zit verstopt of wat voor type batterij het moet zijn? Ik wil deze graag vervangen.

Siren Faults - If your siren exhibits any of the following symptoms
No "beep" on arm & disarm
Indicators flashing for 30 seconds to indicate a fault
Random "squeaking" or "crackling" of the siren
No sound from the siren (apart from when switched off!)

...then it is likely that the back-up battery is failing or the inside of the siren is damp and corrosion has taken hold. These symptoms usually occur after the car battery has been discharged. If the backup battery is decent it may take a few days to recharge itself and all will be well, if not then you may need to replace it. Unfortunately direct replacements backup batteries don't seem to be available anymore but you can replace it with any rechargeable battery of the correct voltage and dimensions.

Correct, is de sirene zelf. Daar zitten een stel oplaadbare batterijen in.

Op zich ook logisch dat ze daar zitten. Anders zou het simpel een kwestie zijn van de stekker uit de sirene te halen, en dan heeft de noodstroomvoorziening, zoals het zo mooi heet, direct al geen functie meer.

Als je dus de stekker uit de sirene trekt, dan gaat het alarm direct af.

Voor zover ik de verschillende sirenes heb gezien gaat dit niet voor alle modellen op. Maar het staat erop.

Het is me duidelijk waar het probleem zit! Dat maar eens oplossen! Thnx mannen!
